Graduate Program
The University of Central Florida offers a dynamic, interdisciplinary Master of Science in Robotics and Autonomous Systems, housed within the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Launched in Fall 2024, this program immerses students in the full spectrum of robotics—from designing and integrating electrical hardware to developing intelligent autonomy, computer vision, machine learning, manipulation, and control systems. Drawing on UCF’s extensive research ecosystem (see the list of centers and labs here )—students gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge platforms like robot dogs, mobile robots, autonomous vehicles, drones, and medical robotic systems. With required coursework spanning electrical, mechanical, and computer science disciplines, graduates are well-prepared for careers at leading robotics firms and in emerging startups. The program also nurtures innovation and workforce development in Central Florida, aligning deeply with regional industry needs and fueling entrepreneurial opportunities .
